1. A Century of Technical Expertise, Continuously Serving Agricultural Equipment

Founded in 1919, Cummins applied its very first engine to the agricultural sector. For over a century, Cummins has continuously accumulated engine technology and application experience, and, leveraging its global service network, has provided power products and technical support to the agricultural machinery industry.

As agricultural equipment evolves toward greater efficiency, lower carbon emissions, and smarter operation, Cummins continues to expand the application of its powertrain technology, offering diverse solutions for various types of agricultural machinery.

2. A Full Range of Hybrid Solutions, Expanding Power Options for Agricultural Machinery

At this exhibition, Cummins unveiled a comprehensive range of hybrid solutions for agricultural machinery, showcasing hybrid products such as the B5.9, L9 Plus, and M15, as well as a portfolio of range-extender products covering various power requirements.

By integrating hybrid-specific engines, high-efficiency electric motors, and control systems, this solution enables coordinated control of the engine and generator, enhancing system operational efficiency while meeting the equipment’s power demands.

Addressing the characteristics of agricultural equipment—which often operates under prolonged, heavy loads—Cummins has conducted specialized development and validation in areas such as engine design, electric motor protection, system cooling, flexible connections, and intelligent protection to meet the reliability requirements of complex agricultural operating conditions.

Different agricultural machines have distinct operational characteristics. For example, cotton pickers typically require continuous, stable high-power output, while tractors experience varying loads during field operations. Cummins can optimize hybrid system configurations and control strategies based on the specific operational needs of each piece of equipment, ensuring that the power solution is better suited to real-world applications.

3. Official Launch of the F4.5 Agricultural Custom Edition Engine

The newly launched F4.5 Agricultural Custom Edition engine was specifically developed to meet the practical operational needs of tractors, with optimizations in structural adaptation, low-speed traction, transient response, and fuel economy.

The engine delivers a maximum power output of 160 horsepower and a maximum torque of 646 Newton-meters, with an oil change interval of 600 hours. Additionally, the product features high torque output at low speeds and rapid transient response, meeting the power demands of agricultural machinery across various operational phases.

In terms of reliability, the F4.5 Agricultural Machinery Custom Edition features structurally reinforced key support components and has undergone both engine-level and vehicle-level validation, with cumulative validation testing exceeding 20,000 hours. The product also offers configurations compliant with emission regulations in various markets and supports the use of B50 biodiesel, providing agricultural machinery manufacturers with more options for expanding into overseas markets.

4. Enhancing Products and Services to Support the Global Expansion of Chinese Agricultural Machinery

As Chinese agricultural machinery manufacturers accelerate their international expansion, emission regulations, operating environments, and service requirements in different countries and regions are placing higher demands on powertrain systems.

Leveraging its global business network, Cummins provides agricultural machinery customers with product adaptation, engineering development, regulatory support, after-sales service, and spare parts support, helping Chinese agricultural machinery products better adapt to overseas markets.
