Recently, the SUNWARD Intelligent SWCP6A cotton harvester completed its first trial harvest at a large farm in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil. Since the equipment arrived on-site in late August, the project team has successively completed system commissioning, optimization of operating parameters, and field performance verification, and concluded the initial phase of harvesting operations in early September.

This trial harvest focused on evaluating the machine’s adaptability to local cotton field conditions, as well as its harvesting quality, baling performance, operational reliability, and economic efficiency. The results of the trial harvest provide practical application data for subsequent product optimization and market expansion in South America.

Trial data shows that the SWCP6A cotton harvester-baler achieved a clean cotton yield rate exceeding 95%, a seed cotton impurity rate below 8%, a 100% bale formation rate, and an average fuel consumption of approximately 2.0 liters per mu. Throughout the trial, the equipment operated smoothly overall, with all key performance indicators performing well.

These data serve as a reference for the machine’s application in local cotton fields in Brazil and provide a basis for subsequent optimization of operating parameters and enhancement of the product’s adaptability.

The SWCP6A is a six-row self-propelled cotton harvester-baler independently developed by SUNWARD, integrating cotton harvesting and baling functions into a single unit. The machine can harvest cotton from six rows simultaneously and directly bale the raw cotton into round or square bales in the field.

This integrated operation reduces the need for cotton transfer and minimizes harvest losses, helping to improve harvesting efficiency in large-scale cotton fields and making it suitable for large-scale agricultural production.

In terms of power and operational systems, the machine is equipped with a high-power diesel engine and a self-propelled chassis, capable of meeting the demands of prolonged, high-intensity field operations. The optimized cotton-picking head, picker spindles, and air duct design help improve the cleaning rate and reduce cotton loss.

Additionally, the machine is equipped with an intelligent monitoring system that tracks harvesting conditions, operational parameters, and equipment fault information in real time, supporting operators in understanding the machine’s status and performing routine maintenance.

Local operators drove and operated the equipment throughout the entire trial harvesting process. Taking into account local field conditions and operating practices in Brazil, the SUNWARD  project team worked closely with local partners to continuously adjust operational parameters and verify harvest quality, equipment performance, and the operator experience.

The fact that local operators were able to directly operate the equipment to complete actual harvesting operations provided valuable insights for assessing the product’s operational adaptability in overseas environments. Local customers and operators also gained a more intuitive understanding of the equipment’s harvesting performance, bale quality, operational performance, and digital features, and offered positive feedback on the trial’s results.

Brazil is a major global cotton producer and exporter, and large-scale cotton production creates a sustained demand for high-efficiency agricultural machinery. The successful completion of the first trial harvest with the SWCP6A in Brazil marks a significant milestone for SUNWARD in validating the product’s adaptability overseas and accumulating practical experience in the South American market.

Following its success in Australia, SUNWARD is further advancing the application of its cotton-picking equipment in international markets. Through practical field testing, the company is able to better understand operating conditions and user needs in different regions, providing support for product improvements and market promotion.

In the future, SUNWARD will continue to focus on overseas agricultural production needs, continuously optimize product performance and localization capabilities, refine its international market layout, and provide efficient, reliable, and intelligent agricultural machinery to global agricultural customers.
